Watch intro video
Do I need the heat shield?

The heat shield is not required for normal campfires. However, in order for the Pop-Up Pit to leave no trace the heat shield must be used. Some Federal and State lands do require the use of a heat shield.

Always check with local, State, and Federal regulations before having a fire.

How does the heat shield attach?

The heat shield should be attached about even with the ‘X’ brace of the Pop-Up Pit by wrapping the Velcro straps twice around the upright poles of the Pop-Up Pit.
